Arrived in Prague yesterday afternoon. Travelling through Germany we passed acres and acres of vineyards, sweet corn and sunflowers, also miles of pine forests. The sunflowers reminded me of summers spent in the Vendee, with the girls, when they were little.
Moving through the Czech Republic the landscape is made up of smaller farm holdings. When we had passed through the border we stopped at the next service station and whilst we filled up with fuel most other people seemed to be stocking up with alcohol! Must be cheaper here than in Germany.
Our sat nav was amazing and brought us through the centre of Prague, into the old town and right to our hotel door, that doesn't usually happen!
Our hotel is part of the old castle walls.
We went out exploring a little last night but fighting through crowds of hundreds of people was not a pleasant experience when you're tired! We'll have another go today. Colin is always surprised by the volume of people in these tourist places!!
