Marahau, Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand
Hi everyone, sorry I've been a little slack on the journal entry thing but hopefully we should be up and running again now. I've now travelled on from Nelson and I am now living and working in Marahau, Abel Tasman National Park. Paradise on earth it truly is. The people I work with are lovely, like one big family. I'm living with Gareth & Keith, the chefs from the restaurant, who are lovely. Keiths a small, portly guy with a huge smile and 'G', as he likes too be called, is tall & slim with features that remind me of the theatre. We live in a hugh house on stilts, where the verander looks out over the Tasman sea (it doesn't get any better than this). Zoe runs the reataurant, her way or no way but her system works so thats fine by me. Zoe is an highly strung pom and Gavin, her husband is about as laid back as you can get & he gives me free rides on the water taxis.
Amy & Dunc are just down the road at Kaiteriteri, working at The Blue Whale cafe bar with Dave I guy they know from France (the world is so small its scary sometimes).
So generally we're all gearing up for christmas, many a night spent down at 'The Park' an enchanting little bar made from wood, surrounded by the forest with little paths leading here, there & everywhere that puts on an array of musical entertainment for the visitors & locals, open everyday from 8-late and no doubt where I'll be shouting 'Happy New Year' with a good bunch of friends around me.
Ok, think I 'll leave it there for now. Gavin said the Orca's will be coming soon so going to take a look. Love and miss you all. Well love you all anyway ha ha ha xxxxxxxxxx
