Today we travelled from the Amazon to Banos. We stopped at a balsa wood factory for a while and then continued onto a waterfall where we had the opportunity to hike down closer. Some of the more ambitious in our group went behind the waterfall..not us...and some tried but were not small enough to fit through the narrow gap. By the time we had finished we had given our legs and lungs a good workout and then we continued to Banos for a very late lunch. John and I decided to make it tea because it was after 4pm when we ate.
Once we settled into the hotel and had some quiet time we met our guide in the foyer for a walk around the town at 7pm. Some stayed on for tea and others, us included returned to the hotel.
Tomorrow John is going to walk up to an active volcano. I'm not sure what I will do.
