Ken It sounds like you're having a good time, folks, and you'll have lost of dinner stories stored up by the time you come back. But I'm afraid all this roughing it wouldn't do us any more. We've done it in the past, but now we're more into hotels of four stars and over and the most luxurious travel we can afford! I really enjoyed your blog, though.

Kathleen Hie David and Chris: Just finished reading about your adventurous trip and sounds and looks awesome. It is definitely a place that is on our wish list. Still haven't made any definitely plans for Jan & Feb as "Hubby" just hasn't reached that "retiring" bit yet - me, I'm loving it. Anyway will let you know where we will be for our Canadian winter months and hopefully it will be close enough that we can meet up. Enjoying our wonderful weather at the moment August and September seem to be our late summer this year. I'll keep checking your blog. Have a blast and talk to you soon.

Sue and Chris My god cuz you certainly do get around, are you trying to visit everywhere before you die! The blog is teriffic and an interesting read, obviously written by Chris. Vietnam certainly seems interesting, I believe from other friends a great place to visit with very friendly people so I look forward to reading more as your travel. Fiona Hi Chris and Dave Thanks for your lovely email you sent before departure - you are lovely people! Thank you also for sending me the blog link. I have greatly enjoyed reliving the experience with you. Great photos too. Keep up the great effort - I will check back regularly to keep tabs on you. I found that most of the places we stayed had free internet available in the lobby which was usually available - esp if you are an insomniac! All is good with me. Our Launceston house is due to settle on 16 October and Rob would like to use the proceeds to pay me out which does give me some options. I am thinking of completing my legal practice course I didn't do all those years ago when I finished uni (I did a Dip. Ed instead) so I can be admitted to the bar. Not sure about practicing but it does give me another qualification and I don't think I will be staying in Hobart or with Immigration forever. I am thinking of heading off overseas later next year (maybe after legal prac if I do it). It would be hard for someone my age to get a work visa without employer sponsorship but I will be having a look around to see some possibilities in Europe. DIAC does employ locally engaged staff in its embassies - esp the larger ones so that may be an option though I would say being tri-lingual would be a distinct advantage and some days I struggle with English! Teaching would be an option but not one that I would be keen to go back too - a bit like falling off a horse there! Love Fiona
