Hello everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since we wrote here... There aren't too many computers in the desert!

To update you on what were up to now we have just arrived in Swakopmund, Namibia, after driving up from Cape Town early on monday morning...

Were travelling with a really nice (and mixed!) group of people, 21 all together along with a tour leader from Birmingham, a cook from kenya and a driver from Kenya...

We've already been to visit Dune 45 and had a winetasting class, watched sunsets at the 2nd biggets canyon in the world (Fish River Canyon) and drunk local cider with giant bugs either side of the Orange River - which sepeartes South Africa from Namibia..

So far we've camped every night, at various locations along the road, as well as preparing our own food with the cooks help, and taking it in turns to do the various jobs required to keep everything healthy and clean, like the truck we travel in. Pictures will be up soon by the way! Tonight were going out into swakopmund with the rest of the group for an 'italian' and a drink - which should be nice :) and we have hostel accomodation! :D

Animals seen so far include ostrich (which weve also ridden!) zebra, baboons, an elephant, jackle, huge spiders and enlarged versions of the bugs back at home! Springbok have been about too - but the best is still to come so we've been told :)

booked in to do sandboarding this weekend :) and then just chillaxing and saving the $$$ for the rest of the trip :)
