Well I am in Sao Paulo again using the free internet at the Hyatt and loving it.Well we survived Rio and the carnavale. We first went to this place called Trindade which is half was between sao paulo and rio. It was beautiful it was a beuatiful beach surrounded by rainforest, we stayed in this hostel which was like a tree house. The beach was amazing with blue water and white sand with beautiful rain forest walks around it. We also went to this beach party with reggae music it was very relaxing. The town itself was tiny and very chilled out.
We ventured into Party itslef which was this colonial town with cobble stone streets and old buildings.
Rio de Janeiro
Well we arrived in Rio and walked around the streets of Ipanema. Ipanema is a nice area and very safe, in fact despite what everybody told us the city itself we found to be safe! We did a Favela tour, went to a soccer game, went to the samba drome, attended street parties for Carnavale, went to a Gay ball, saw the carnavale parade, sat on ipanema beach the only sunny day we had and of course went shopping.
The sambadrome was absolutely amazing along with the gay ball. The costumes at both were spectacular. It rained pretty much the whole time in rio so we did not get to see many of the famous sites, we managed to see the statue of christ which was great but would have been better if it was a clear day.
Well thats about it we are off to igazu falls tomorrow night after slumming it in the hyatt for three nights Oh and there is nothing to report from Sao Paulo becasue we have not left the hotel for three days!!!
Love you all stay safe and keep the comments and e mails coming. I will also be posting photos in the next few days the hyatt computers dont let you!
The people in brazil are very friendly and i have to say a very attractive nation!
