Well, I'm finally here... It was definitely a long traveling day. Long layovers + not being able to sleep on the plane rides wasn't too good. =/ I had forgotten how bumpy airplane rides could be. The landing into Jersey was horrible! The only good thing was that we got to see NYC and the Statue of Liberty. We had a 5 hour layover there. Kristian and I found this AMAZING bakery place. They have 50 different kinds of cupcakes! =] I had a grasshopper one, and it was fantastic!! The flight to Athens wasn't all that bad, it was just really long. 9 hours is a bit too much for me. They played The Adjustment Bureau, which was really exciting. We had a 7 hour layover there. Steve, Kristian, and I kept nodding off. I exchanged some American money for some Euros, and the exchange rate at the airport was $1.57. =[ that made me really sad. We finally got to the island around 6:15 pm. It's really pretty here. =] I like it so far. My roommates Ashley and Yanna are nice. We did have a bit of an incident with a moth. It somehow got in our room, and it kept going everywhere. I was the one chosen to catch it, so grabbed a cup, and a towel, and managed to catch it in the cup. I took 2 steps outside, and let it out, but on my way back in, i accidentally hit the cup on the door, which caused it to shatter into little pieces. =/ epic fail. I'm not really looking forward to experiencing jet lag tomorrow. we will see how that goes.
