Well just got back from a four day excursion to Los llanos which are massive flat plans like in the wild west. I ended up on a tour with six germans and i mentioned it once but I think I got away with it. The tour was excellent and I saw anaconda, giant rats, freshwater dolphins, crocodile and loads of birdlife and I even caught then grilled my own piranas. The food was excellent and I was round the campfire every night. I am now back in merida a town in the central mountains of Venezuala. The costs are quite good but you have to change all your money on the black market. I have been stopped twice by the police now to check my passport which is quite weird.
Every photo I have taken is of real wildlife and not in a zoo so I apologise for the bad quality but it is very difficult, I am also gaining more confidance with the language now after being shocked how quickly the venezualan people speak. There are strange things here like how they sell socilist bread with the money going to the goverment party and to fill a 1.4 l astra is 80 pence with the president Mr Chaves saying this price is a present to the venezualan people. Can you imagine Mr Cameroon doing that. Anyway I am heading on a 18 hour journey involving four buses tomorrow and I am due to cross into Columbia on sunday so far saftey reasons I will be telling you how it went and posting my hotel address on this page on Monday. i am having a great time and feel very safe at the moment so untill next time, thats all folks...
