Bonjour! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! (I'm in Paris by the way)

I welcomed in the New Year beneath the Eiffel Tower with a light show going on and a few fireworks, along with everyone else in France it felt like! Was very exciting!!

The excitement soon faded when everyone decided to jump on the free metro. There was a lot of waiting in the cold... walking between stations.. waiting some more... then being squeezed in through gates & into the trains! So I went straight to sleep when I finally got back ~3am!

It's absolutely FRREEEEZING over here!! About the same as London but with a bit of wind to add to the chill. Small snow fall today. I am very tired of the cold and am dreaming of beaches and nice summery weather in Perth. But still trying to enjoy it - even when you can't feel your feet and are frozen all over!

A highlight in London was going to see "Oliver" the musical! It was brilliant with all the songs and dancing!! Really enjoyed it and it was warm being inside :) Also checked out all the sights - it really is a beautiful city with a lot of character.

Paris is also very beautiful, and I'm enjoying the food here - even if its just from the corner store! Nice being out of my comfort zone again - not knowing the language, and another culture.
