DAY 3 - We checked out of the Hotel, went to BCF to buy an Australia fold out map and a map book so we can mark where we've been. From BCF we headed to Mount Panorama and did a lap of Bathurst Track….we didn't time it but at a guess I'd say we did it in a record time of about 15-20mins hahaha. It is still classified as a public road so you have to drive at 60km/h & keep left, the car didn't like 60km/h up hill with corners and downhill was too fast with corners.
From Bathurst we headed in the direction of Tamworth, stopping in an old town called Sofala which is Australia's oldest surviving gold town. The town literally looks like something out of a western movie. Camped on a fire trail near Leadville which had the worst prickles.
