Hi claire that beach looks very exotic and lovely,bet you appreciated the break after working so hard.Also probably a relief to get back to normal toilet facilities and a bit of home comforts.Your time there has passed really quickly. safe journey home ,whats the next adventure? we have just had mothers day and went to Birmingham to see the Cirque de soleil good show.

Another chinook blew in late last week and it's tougher to get around on snowshoes. Snow's melting and it's time to shovel some s*** in the yard. The dog found a deer carcass in the ravine down the street. Coyotes must have got it. After reading your blog, things seem a little more trivial here. Am running out of frozen pizzas but otherwise doing fine.

Hi Claire glad its going well sounds really busy but very rewarding it makes you feel thankful for what we have access to, but probably envious of the more simple life. I thought you were the double jointed member of the family remember you pulling thumbs in many different directions so the dances not too much of a challenge then. hi Claire how long before you get to your work base and how many in your group, what are they like.Do you know how long your working day will be?35 degrees is hot is it humid too.Lots questions LOL. We are doing second round of visits for lindsay university choices and matt choosing his GCSE choices for next year.Work is still mad. have had to have root canal done and crown fitted it is so clever and pleased that I am not going to be a toothless crone I did a week of that very cringing but too tight to pay for a plate. It's been up to +10 and then back down to -30oC with windchill here in Calgary. Bit too cold to check traplines, so, seeing as how you're away, I checked out an audio store for one of those new-fangled home theatre system. Sales guy sold me on a 10.3 system which comes with 10 speakers and 3 subwoofers. Sweet! Watched Nanook of the North with the dogs and got all our huskies howling for the Arctic! If we paint the speaker wires the same colour as the log cabin walls, they'll blend in great.

Chinook blew in and it's popped up above zero here in Calgary. Incredible weather for tracking up the ravines on snowshoes with the dog. Found a deer head frozen in the creek bed. Coyotes must have got it in the fall. Will make a good stew.
