Hiya, we arrived in Beijing three days ago, and have pretty much been on the go ever since. On our first day we went to Tiannanman Square and The Forbidden City. The sheer size of the square was amazing whilst the beauty of the city was breathtaking. Yesterday saw us take a trip to the Muntianyu section of the Great Wall. we were both dumbfounded, at how well restored and quiet the place was. We took a cable car to the top and a toboggon(however you spell it) to the bottom which was awesome. Today we have been to The Temple of Heaven park, which is basically a big huge park that the emporers used to worship heaven. Thw eather so unbelievably hot today and we both got sunburnt. The building were amazing, with the main one being a huge circular building, that was intricitally decorated. Oh well off to catch our 12 hour train to Xian to see the terracotta warriors catch you soon. claire and mike x
