Great pictures! Claire, you look so relaxed! I love the one of you with the glass of beer. Dave, no more treading on frogs, they don't like it! Hope you are both enjoying Thailand. Are you coping with the monsoons? The bungalow sounded lovely. I'm not sure I would have got much sleep on the floating rafthouse though!
We had a very nice weekend with your Nan celebrating her Birthday. Not sure if you are receiving her texts so she says thank you for her lovely card of a Geisha from Japan

David and Claire,
We are also relaxing in the sun at the villa on Skiathos. Unusally mixed weather for Greece has now turned into what we expected, 80 plus during the day and very comfortable eating out at night.
Enjoy your stay in Thailand and we look forward to hearing more about your ongoing adventure.

Lovely to read your latest blog. It mustn't be easy to get Internet access just when you want it, so it was great to hear some of the things which you experienced in Hong Kong. However, you did not have to travel all that way to go to Stanley Market!
Mum is back at work now so I am getting back into the swing of golfing and doing a little decorating. Your driver is doing well and leaving me with much shorter shots to the greens. We saw the Take That musical, called "Never Forget". Well worth seeing and finished the Tuesday evening off with an Indian curry on Grey Street at 11p.m!
Lots of love,
Mum and Dad

You sure pack a lot into your blog in a short time, as well as pack a lot into your time in Japan. You can put the unusual food and insect bites down to experience! Looking forward to seeing any photos when you can get them downloaded.
Francis and the girls have just returned from New Zealand. Francis says watch out for the tail-gating trucks and the narrow winding roads. Lindsay and Jane (Hodgkiss) have done very well in their GCSEs.
Looking forward to hearing from you in Thailand.

You certainly have packed a lot in, and we needed some oxygen by the time we had finished reading your blog! You both seem to be having wonderful experiences - even though you may not want to repeat some of them in the same way again.
We are glad you are challenging your taste buds on a range of Japanese food and we expect lessons in advanced chop stick holding on your return.
Phil and Barb were here for an overnight and we had a great time listening to stories about your time in BC. They will be off to Greece for their month's holiday in early September.
Looking forward to photos and video.
Lots of love,

Hello Claire & Dave
Your blog, pictures & videos are amazing & very entertaining! I am so jealous! The zip wire looks like brilliant fun, would love to have go. Home is very quiet without you here! I've decided to tackle the decorating & DIY projects again so you will return to either a palace or a wreck :o) Gene must be missing you as she's craving constant attention & tearing around like a whirlwind. She's now taken full command of your room!!
I hope Japan will be as much fun as Vancouver for you both.
Love Mumx
PS Claire, I know you will be experimenting with all sorts of food, but Guinness Cheese… ??!!

We are trying to work out whether you two have gained any calories. You seem to be eating and exercising in just about equal amounts!
Whistler looked a fun place to be- you certainly looked confident before your zip-wire ride.
Sarah got through baggage and security at Terminal 3 and will be en-route by the time you read this.

Hi Claire & Dave,
I enjoyed your very well written blog lol - sounds like you have done sooo many things already which makes me very jealous as I sit at work reading about it all!!! Your airport experience sounded scary - although nothing surprised me about claire laughing at everyone else and 'misplacing' your green card. Some things never change!!! Anyway, I hope you are both enjoying it (it'd be hard not to) and i'll look forward to more pictures and blogs soon, look after yourselves.
