Caught 2 buses and a monorail early this morning to get us to KL. We checked into a mixed dorm in a really nice hostel and went off to explore the capital. It's so quiet compared to every other city that we've been too, it isnt too big and the people are really friendly and helpful - we'd been walking around for about 5 minutes and had already been approached by 2 people asking if we needed any help!
Our first stop was the KL tower which takes you 276metres high in less than 30 seconds and gives you an impressive panoramic view of the entire city.
There were some cheeky monkeys at the forest next to the tower which had some really friendly ones and some really naughty aggressive ones - kept us entertained for a good hour! We also caught a mozzie sucking on Dave's arm - the one who has NEVER been bit in his life!
We then walked onto Times Square - a really big mall with an indoor theme park inside! Obviously we went on most of the rides, including the largest indoor rollercoaster in Malaysia which had 2 corkscrews and one loop!
By this time we'd be on our feet for 7 hours solid so after seeing the impressive Petronas Towers lit up at night we headed back to the hostel which we found to be completely overun by a crazy Swedish family!
