Caught the first bus in the morning from Ipoh to take us to Tanah Rata, which is the main town in the Cameron Highlands. Driving through the mountains was a weavy road with vertical drops on the side of the road! The gorgeous backdrops of the hills, valleys and miles and miles of rainforrest is definitely something to see. The whole of the highlands focuses on the acres of tea plantations, strawberry farms and bee farms. It wasnt long before we found out that the whole town's specialty serves tea and freshly baked scones with proper strawberry jam!

We quickly found a guesthouse that has a lodge type feel with shared bathrooms, TV room, reading room and self service drinks. Everything that we need!

We had a venture into the town and met up with Joe and Tanya who we met 8 weeks ago in Hue, Vietnam! We had quite a few beers before saying our final goodbyes as they head home soon.
