Hi
We arrived in Singapore on Saturday to rain, and it actually hasn't stopped since!!
On Sunday morning we ventured into Singapore by metro and did some sightseeing and went on a boat ride along Singapore river, as soon as we got off the boat it absolutely poured down. We sat waiting in a cafe for it to stop but after an hour we decided to brave it and so ran for a taxi back to ourh hostel.
We dried off and then went back down to the Quayside for dinner and spent the evening there.
The next day (Monday) we caught a cable car over to Sentosa which is a tiny island next to Singapore. Its a man made island with quite a few attractions on it; some of which we visited such as Aquamania, Cinemania and the Calsberg Sky tower which gives fantastic views over Singapore and Sentosa. Andy then spotted a snake charmer and we decided to brave it and have our photos taken with the snake - really scary, as you can see from our expressions in the pics!
We hen left Sentosa and made our way to The Night Safari. We were taken round on a tram looking at nocternal animals, which was great, but we then decided to get off and do one of the walking trails, thats when the heavens opened again so after a couple of hours in the park we decided that enough was enough and went home.
Today we're off to Australia, where hopefully the weather is slightly better as we seriously need to top up our tans - 4 days of poor weather is taking its toll!! We'll arrive in Australia tomorrow morning and hope to tour The Great Ocean Road for a few days before Christmas in Melbourne where we meet up with Polly, Andy and Tamsin!
Hope your all well.
Take Care
Claire & Andy xxxxxx
