We arrived in Cusco the highest city at altitude in Peru after a killer 10 hour bus! The bus company was a cheap one (good quality- still better than National Express!- althou thats not hard!) so a lot of the locals use it too, and they seemed to think that it was perfectly acceptable at 6am to start playing ringtones on their phones! So after arriving to Arequipa at 9am we checked in to the Wild Rover, very first impression was that it looked like a nice, fun hostel.. We arrived into Lima after a flight full of turbulance, and delays! We stayed in Miraflores in a very standard hostel to be fair! First impressions of Peru and especially Lima.... FOREIGN !! No one speaks English, and yeah yeah we were warned about this but I never actually thought it was true!!
