I have just barely survived Norway and now my stay in Zadar is my reward. The weather is incredibly, despite it being December 9. the sun is burning my skin as I walk through town. Many of the people here seem to be used to people who do not speak Croatian. All of the people there have very nice to me, and I have even made friends with some of the people at my hotel. Speaking of my hotel, it has a beautiful view of the Croatian shoreline, as well as the amazing employees that work there. The hotel is called the Hotel Bastion. Another great feature about the hotel is that it is within walking distance of the shore and the main part of Zadar. The best part about having a friendly hotel is that not only are the workers nice, but also the other guests there. The people that I had become freinds with were a very nice married couple that have taught me how to say several words in Croatian. For example, hello is bok, goodbye is zbogom, help is pomoci, fire is vatra, and thank you is hvala. My first day in Croatia has been made a hundred times better from these two people. I have yet to learn their names, but when I do learn htir names then I will thank them for helping me. So that is what has happened so far, but what I am planning to do for the rest of my time here is, I am going to go and explore the coastline here tomortrow and then the day after I am planning to go with the people that I was mentioning, and with them I am going to go sight-seeing. So I hoping that my time here in Croatia will be wonderful.
