Today we went to the Holocaust Museum. This museum was full of artefacts and pictures from people who suffered through the tears of the Holocaust. I didn't know what to expect going through the exhibits. The displays that made an impact on me the most were the model of the people going through the gas chambers, the display of all the shoes, the hair and Daniels Story. The exhibit with all the shoes was the hardest for me because it showed Real belongings to the Jewish people. Another exhibit that made a very large impact on me was Daniel story. This exhibit show the life of a young boy who went through the Holocaust. Throughout this exhibit there were pages from Daniels diary explaining how he felt and what was going on during that time.
My favourite part of the day so far was going to watch shear madness. The play was nothing like I expected to be. I was expecting something a lot different. We got to the auditorium, we saw a set of an old hairdressing shop. The plot began with people coming in to get their haircut. But we soon realized that it was a crime scene for a murder and it was our job to assist the detectives in finding out who the murderer was. After a careful analysis, we decided that the murderer was Eddie Lawrence.
Today the monuments that we saw were monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers. The first monument that we went to was that iwojima memorial. There we saw many soldiers in a procession around the monument. this monument was dedicated to the US Marine corpse had fallen in battle in World War I. The second memorial that we saw was it two of the unknown soldier. While we were there we witnessed the changing of the guard's that happens every half an hour.
