Hey Everyone,
The last week has been a mixture of comfort and culture. After spending my last night in Lao Probang I headed south through some of the windiest roads in the World, through the Laos mountains to Vang Veing. Although a very queezy journey it was subsidised by the incredible scenery Laos has to offer. I have to say Laos is arguably one of the best county's i have been to, as it has amazing culture and amazing scenery.
So Vang Vieng! Vang Vieng is not Laos in any sense. It is very much a party town with the tubing during the day and partying till dawn at night. I originally only planned to spend a couple of days here but after teaming up with 4 huge Irish rugby lads this soon changed to 5 days! The 5 days generally consisted of tubing during the day, sleeping untill 10, then going out untill 5, and so on. Tubing actually doesnt require much tubing at all. The majority of the day consists of staying at the 3 top bars and throwing yourself of 10m high swings, which was amazing.
However, one of the best nights out so far has to be watching the Ireland France rugby game in a Irish bar with 4 hardcore rugby fans!
After intense days we headed south to Vientiene and then departed from the Irish guys and headed to Siem Reap in Cambodia. The ''jourey'" to Camodia should have been adertised as an endurance sport. 35 hours in a mixture of hot sweat buses, cramped 10 seater mini buses with 17 people in, and getting lost at 2am! But eventually made it here.
Next few days consist of seeing Angor Wot at sunrise, the hopefully headint to Phnem Penn to see the killing fields. However, this may not be possible as i need to be at the full moon on March 1st!
Will hopefully get some photos up ASAP and will genereally keep you updated!
