Christoff's Conquerage Of The World
Alright everyone, im in Hervey Bay at the moment just north of Brisbane. The other day we finally left Cairns at last and got the bus down to Airlie Beach. Got on out boat, the 'Samurai' and set off to sail around the Whitsundays. The winds were well strong but it was well cool, visited Whitehaven beach which had the whitest sand ive ever seen! On the sail over to our dve spot a school of dolphins swam with the boat for about 30mins and were jumping across the bowe and everything. Next we crew managed to lose the jib sail, causing one of the pieces of wire to fly around with a massive bit of metal on the end. So we went below deck through some massive waves, which made me yak my guts up until my eye balls hurt! Which was nice!
We did a little intro SCUBA dive next in a coral bay but didnt find nemo so didnt quite feel like we were getting our moneys worth. He's a shy little critter though isnt he!
We got another bus down to Hervey Bay a few days ago and got the ferry over to Fraser Island, a massive sand island off the east coast. We had 3 days four-wheel driving around the island and had a wicked time. There were some amazing lakes with crystal clear water, a cool shipwreck, rock pools, creeks and loads of sand tracks to hammer around on. Christoff was 'too young' to drive so had to watch on enviously! Im back on the mainland sorting out the photos, have a look when they're up here, they're class! Until next time!
