Hi everyone, hope you all had a very happy christmas and merry new year! Since i last wrote on here loads has been going on so i thought i'd give you an update. Once we got back to Perth we met up with Garno and the boys from Clyst Hydon and had some very drunken beerlariness with the barmy army, followed by watching the 5th day of the Perth test match. So yeh we had the pleasure of watching Australia retain the ashes! On the 20th we flew over to Sydney for Christmas. 16 of us were in a two bedroom house so everyone in there became very close over crimbo and new year! Some of the housemates managed to put on an awesome Christmas dinner and a few novelty presents were thrown into the mix aswell. All in all id say it was the best christmas i could imagine away from home, as it was spent with some true legends!
New Year was similarly as good, we went round to the flat that Shano Mac was renting out which was opposite the bridge and the opera house, probably the best location in Sydney. From there we watched the bridge fireworks and got merry before heading off to Home nightclub where Ibiza promoters Pacha were putting on a night. Darren Emerson was DJ of the night, probably the best ive ever seen. Me and Pipes danced so hard i woke up with cramp the next morning after getting in at 8am! Gotta mention Garno aswell, tripped, fell, blood flowing freely down his arm onto the floor, but carried on regardless! Loving ur work G-man!
After new year we had 4 days at the Sydney test. Im thinking of taking up test match watching as a job cos i loved it! In fact i could just watch Monty Panesar all day cos he is the man! Even the Aussies love him! Unfortunatly we lost again so i witnessed the first 5-0 whitewashing in 86 years but also got to see McGrath, Warne and Langer retire so atleast i can say i was there! We watched the 20-20 the other night which Australia one again, so ive seen loads of good cricket, just a shame its all Australian.
Ive been staying over in Coogee with the boys for a few days now, the heading home earlier with slightly depressed looks on there faces. Im heading back to Perth tomorrow to work again as funds have run dry, rather gutted such a good 5-6 weeks is over and everyones leaving again! Pipes has headed off to play cricket down south and my bro has flown back, but i caught up with Jo from school the other day which was really good.
Hope ur all doing alright, probly back at uni by now i presume!? Would love to hear from you guys, ur banter is entertaining!
