So, my big adevnture starts on Friday the 10th January 2014. At 12pm i will be off to the Isle of Man airport to start my long journey to Bangkok, Thailand.
The jounrney will not be a short one. First stop, London Gatwick. I am leaving this little Isle at 13:15 and will arrive at 15:15. This will then be followed by an hour drive on Englands busy highways to finally reach the destination of London, Heathrow airport.
Thankfully I won't be totally alone. There are a few people getting on the same Eva Airways 21:20 flight with me. Jessica Jacobs, Josh Bell & Matthew Bell (Brothers), another Jess & Claire (Friends from University). Me and Jess exchanged numbers so we will meet at Heathrow to begin the 12 hour journey to the great & wonderful Thailand.
My feelings at the moment - Excited but scared sums it up nicely. I have never in my life done something like this before so of course I'm a bit apprehensive. I mean I am only 20 years old. I still live at home with Mommy and Daddy who have looked after me and cared for me my whole life, and now its time for me to be 'on my own', do a bit of growing up and look after myself. I'm very much a family orrientated person and depend alot of those around me to guide me so the planning of this Real Gap trip was a challenge for me. I did however to my surprise find it quite stress free considering I'm a hyped up 20 year old who thinks something is bound to go wrong.
I'm excited about whats to come and so for now I am packing - How exactly do you pack for a month away not knowing exactly what to expect or what the climate will be like? I will tell you, its a challenge for a very indecisive younge lady like myself. So wish me luck.
