Day 11 - arrived tonight in Ho Chi Minh from Hanoi. Flight was good but came through a thunderstorm so a bit bumpy. City seems much bigger and more modern than Hanoi. Staying in a very posh hotel in District 1, almost brand new and very "Essex", all marble and velvet and you can see into the bathroom with big jacuzzi bath and rain shower. Amazing. Heading back to the airport in the morning for flight to Nha Trang. Now at half way point of my trip. :)

So today is my first full day in Hanoi. Last night Jools took me out on the scooter to see quite a bit of the city , including the lakes, the presidential building, Uncle Ho's mausoleum, the temple of literature and quite a few other places. Had an amazing burger for dinner sat on the pavement outside the restaurant, and not to forget the super fine garlic potato tapas style starter, that was really awesome!! Jools is off to work today and I am trying to acclimat...
