Wow these last 4 days have flown!
Arriving early morning in Noosa i checked into my hostel which luxurious compared to brisbane. Its so nice and holds all ages up to people in their 60's wanting to stay cheaply but in nice accomodation. Not long after arriving while straightening my hair (new it would come in use one day) i met Sabine a lovelly girl from Holland and we have stayed together pritty much throughout our whole stay. I also met a large number of people from my last YHA hostel in byron bay which was really nice and some of us took a road trip to the supermarket to stock up on food. The first day it rained ALLLLLL day so it was ncie just relaxing and chatting to people.
The next day i met up with the girls i met in byron bay kayaking and sabine came along and we went to the Australian (steve irwins) zoo. It was VERY fresh, like english weather but we had a fantastic day going to shows which were really educational for the children (and us) about protecting the wildlife and walking around to see the animals. The winter holidays have just started here and so Bindi (steves daughter) is a bit of a celeb over here with her own work out video and done a dance performance with the 'croc men'. Bit cringe but the children loved it and knew all the moves to her songs. We got to stroke the kangaroo and feed the elephants in our stay and too soon the time came to go back.
The next day me and sabine had booked to go surfing. We had a fun 2 hours in the water and i managed to stand up almost every time, ending in stacking it but second to last go i managed to ride a wave all the way back to shore. Its a lot harder then it looks! Ben my friend from byron bay arrived that morning and by coincicende was in the bunk above mine. That evening we cooked sabine an english bangers and mash with gravy which was so much tasteier then our usual rolls.
Today me and sabine got a free 2 hour kayak tour for booking our surfing with our hostel and we went out on the sea and pracised our kayak surfing. Was lots of fun and just missed out on being wiped out by the kayak :$ This afternoon i walked about Noosas national park, around the coastal walk where i saw 2 koalas in the trees and then through the tangeled woods - a forest walk which was lovelly to walk through. All the trees were entwined (hense the name) and you had to walk through the vines hanging through the trees. I often heard a noise and got excided it was a cool bird but it always turned out to be turkeys!
A little while ago i said goodbye to sabine as she is travelling south to brisbane and so im planning on relaxing before my early start tomorrow as i still feel like im on a boat!
Next stop, hervey bay for my 3 day 4x4 wheel driving tour
