I am taking part in the Hornsby Relay for Life, which is a 24 hour team relay walk. Our Crosslands Rotaract Club have put in a team and after little sleep and lots of laps of the athletics track, we finally make it to the end.

Today was the visit to the big tourist hot spot of Australia; The Great Barrier Reef. We are heading out on a Quicksilver boat to their pontoon by the reef. Me and dad are heading off on a guided snorkel trip with a marine biologist and mum is going on one if the under water viewing boats and we'll meet up afterwards. We are off to the Daintree Rainforest on a coach trip today. Collected from the hotel and then having a nose at other people hotels we make our way into the beautiful rainforest. Met by our local guide and then led on a walk we learned about the indeginos people from here and how they live, even now, in the area. After the walk we sat and had tea and then another guide played a digeridoo for us, which was pretty impressive.

Today we are meeting up with Lisa (Jenny's daughter) who is going to take us to the Yarra Valley to visit the wineries. Our first stop in the Chandon Winery, which is probably the most famous but also has the most spectacular views. So after our tasting we sat down for lunch, to be enjoyed with more wine and gaze out the windows. Time to have a look around the city, with the little lanes between the streets and the trams; it's quite a strange place. Not so warm here, time to get the jumpers out. We visited the Parliament building, and had a fantastic guide. Australia is such a new country, so lots of surprising facts about laws and their developments.
