Off to the Wineries! Today Kerryn and myself went off to the Hunter Valley on a wine tasting tour, it was wonderful. As it's school holidays and Elke and the kids are still in Europe I'm looking after Kayley's two girls, Ella and Ruby. We are off to Darling Harbour and the kids play park they have there. Another of the things I wanted to do in Queensland was visit the Gold Coast, the famous beachside holiday destination. So today me and Kerryn drove off to Rainbow Bay, where we sat in the surf club looking over the beautiful coastline. It was lovely, on such a hot day, over 35 degrees, it was great to sit in the shade with a breeze and relax for the afternoon.

Today was probably one of the best days I have had on my whole trip. I joined Kerryn and her family on a waterskiing trip to a dam. Kerryn's dad has his own boat and the family have used it to go on many waterskiing holidays when they were younger. However, I had not tried it before and was anxious but excited. Happy New Year! This year I am celebrating the new year in Brisbane with Kerryn, Breanna and Brendan in a local bar. However not being big party people, we spent around 4 hours there and then went back to Brendan's to watch the fireworks, oh yeah that's how to do it!
