After the long bus ride down from Hoi An, we arrived into Nha Trang around 7am. We hoped that we would be able to contact a place up the coast called Jungle Beach and book a room and arrange transport, this place was heavily recommended by Cath and Dave back in Laos, and we had to have a look.
It's not the easiest place to get contact or get to, it's quite a bit out of the way too, but on arrival, the people in the bus tour office were more than helpfull in sorting us out.
We got to jungle beach at around 9am, it really is a lovely place, very basic facilities, but it was so relaxing and beautiful. The only problem was it was so damn expensiive, $44 for food and the room, and when other places charge around $10 back in town it's a huge expense, and one that the budget (and our tight-mindedness) wouldn't allow. So we made the most of our time there then went back to Nha Trang for 3 days.
We had a good time in town, our hotel was a stones throw away from the beach, but we didn't actualy step foot on it, finding plenty of entertainment elsewhere. We had the afternoon at a mineral mud bath spa, then the next day at Vinpearland, this is Vietnam's biggest and best water park, and we had a great day, not to mention the place was almost desserted, which was strange at first but worked out really well.
One of the days here was spent on the internet, making a start to job hunt and look for a place to stay in Melbourne, it's amazing how long (Chris) it takes to faff around with a CV, lets just say the job hunt is a work in progress.
Off to another smaller beach town called Mui Ne, where there is a big kite surfing scene, we'll see what that has install for us.
