Rhian Pavitt These pictures are amazing Chris so much colour and the flowers look very nice! We don't have that much colour here at the moment but we do have clear blue skies.
re: photo from 06 February 2013Nicola Milner It's so cool that you will be there for Chinese New Year. It sounds like loads of fun. Make sure you get loads of photos. Is that photo of someone with a rocking chair on the back of a motorbike?! Some of the photos you have are hilarious. I've never seen anything like it xxx
re: The exodus (Chunyun 春运) beginsNicola Milner Nice award Chris! Well done. I'm glad you're enjoying it. It sounds like you are more settled now and the celebrations sound like great fun.
re: Pomp and Circumstance Chinese StyleNicola So I see you are getting followed by the local men as well! I've just come back from visiting the local volunteers - all young people with no training who've been sent up country for a year to teach. As you mention in you blog, people in the UK would have palpitations. Hope you're feeling ok. Lots of love xxx
re: 1984 and all thatNicola well done for handling all the last minute TV interviews and such like. I would be having a nervous breakdown!
re: Nowism: China’s Pathological Aversion to Forward PlanningNicola Milner The volunteer teacher project sounds good! Hang on in there my love xxx

re: Just when you thinks cannot get worse...they get better!Rhian Hi Chris glad things have picked up it is great when those boxes arrive from home, i have found skype really helps to! I can't believe i have been here over 2 months now. I think we all have off days we are only human but glad you are feeling better!
re: Just when you thinks cannot get worse...they get better!chris canham I know Nicola. The PO office is already pushing me for a work plan but I am trying to slow them down until I know what I am doing (ha ha). We can only work at the speed of the NGO and I really don't think they are sure themselves yet. I want to spend more time talking to individuals and making plans. I keep trying to remember the P2V training (oh how useful it is proving to be) and working on the basis that it is what the NGO wants that really matters; even if it means I have to learn new skills fast! Hope your trip back to UK is not too stressful for you. Don't worry about your placement - it will all come together in the end. Love Chris xx
