Returned safe and sound after a Fantastic couple of weeks, so many experiences so much fun,so many photos and and Great to see Netti and Chris, and Jo too, will never forget walking along Flinders Street in two feet of water !! after setting out in 80 degrees at 9am, Dam building is of course an ancient art which was first practised in the Mercian forests of the Midlands over 1000 years ago, on the fast flowing rivers passing through the tiny hamlet now know as Lichfield , and these skills were passed down to a very select number of decendents of these original people. not of course to be compaired to the more westerly tribes often know as Yam in Lye tribes of Wolver region who spoke a strange dialet know only to othe Wolver folk,

Having looked at your most recent photo album of the ''once-Great-Ocean-Road-but-now-not-so-Great-once-you've-experienced-it-via-Off -Exploring-for-the-third-time'' I was slighty perplexed by the photos of the Lewis tribesman and woman impromtu dam building......i'm sure i'm not alone here as i'm sure Jeanette, whom is absent from all of the photographic evidence of the said dam building.
The only was i could get my head around it was to investigate information on Dam building......when i say investigate i mean thikipedia..........my investigation lead me to discover that the Lewis clanspeople were infact building a Diversionary Dam:
one can only presume they need to divert the water as there was so much coming down during their fortnight in Australia?......... or an alternative reason may have been that they were explaining and demonstrating to Jeanette how the Lewis clans expertise in all things dam related was called upon most recently by Lichfield District council safety consultation of Chasewater dam:
You have to applaud, their dedication and craftsmanship approach to this pursuit and also the generations Lewis clanspeople whom have passed this skill on to the current members.
A moments thought also to the sole member of the Knowles clan whom could only stand by and watch with awe at her own Clans lack of knowledge in this forgotten art.......Jeanette ours thoughts are with you.
Look and learn. ....and ask yourself..........................................
