As we move on through india, we find ourselves in Panjim. Another part of Goa, this is more of a city style area but much quiter than previous (lovely, clean) places we have been to such as bombay!
We had one reason for this area visit, that being my desire to wrestle a croc! Now although I didn't get to do so, we did get to sight a few whilst taking a 3 hour river speedboat ride (Nice pics in gallery). We spotted eagles, tropical birds and took in some amazing scenery. This trip was not quite what we expected, we had intentions of taking part on the crocodile dundee river cruise (Which included a large boat and walking space with drinks and lunch). When I phoned to book this however my Hello was responded with severel Hello's and a dial tone, I am willing to settle with the fact that I may have experienced a mild language barrier! None the less, through our hotel (Panjim Inn), we were able book and take part in the "Croc Cruise" which turns out was the only boat to sight some crocs that day, what a lovely turn of luck!
After our adventurous cruise down a dangerous river home to man eating crocs, we enjoyed the rest of our few days in this town walking around and attempting to send packages home through the post office. Again we were faced with this small issue know as the language barrior. So pressies etc will be with those of you who are lucky in about a year (hopefully by then the thought of receiving gifts from us will have passed clear from your memories *evil chuckle*).
Not much more to say about this area really, except I finally bought some shorts (thats right, legs are out). Next update will be a quick one from Delhi, just a one nighter after a flight up from here as we are moving down to Agra, the home of the Taj Mahal!
Stay Tuned for updates!
