Woke up ridiculously early after having 3hrs sleep, to get on the bus for the Cape Trib tour...got on the bus with the girls and headed up to Daintree and Port Douglas...After a couple of stops, we headed to Mosman Gorge, where some of the guys had a swim...Ed obviously got in, but me and Matt decided we wanted to stay relatively dry
We then headed down to the Daintree river, where we were treated to a complimentary afternoon Daintree tea and headed down to the river to take a boat cruise to spot crocodiles...wasnt the most exhillarating things Ive ever done...but we managed to see two smallish crocs (Crocs...!)
We had an ice cream at the Daintree Ice Cream Factory made of tropical fruits...where we saw a massive spider (good thing Kerry wasnt there...bless) before we made our way down to PK's Jungle Village...wasa pretty nice resort...actually voted 3rd best in Australia...it was pretty cool...played a bit of volleyball in the pool and then chilled out and had dinner...before partaking in a bit of Salsa...yeh u heard right...we all had an introductory Salsa lesson...the girls were pretty amazing at it...seing as Hannah is a dance teacher and Tasha is a dancer...but us boys pulled out a few moves too (Matt is deceptively dainty on his feet)
The guys headed to bed early, cos they wanted to go diving the next day, but I ended upstaying up with Mike, a guy from L.A and Jon the Salsa teacher...pulled out a few inpromtu moves for Jon...including my world famous breakdance...(there are just some things u can't teach...somethings just come from the soul)...before witnessing the greatest re-enactment of the Pussycat Dolls, Buttons by Mike...he's a big lad, but he made me laugh soo much...i didnt think they was a bigger enthusiast of PCD than me and Nimla...(Nemma u would have been amazed...!!!)
Chilled out the next day with Tasha and Hannah, as the boys went to go diving...i wasnt feeling on-top of the world...but it was nice to get to know the girls properly for the first time...we decided to take a walk down Myall Beach...it was soo beautiful and extremely hot...we tried to make our way down to a lookout point...but the tide was in, so we headed back to the resort and chilled out by the pool...was actuallystruggling to fill the time as there wasnt much to do there...but we ended up chatting to Jon the Salsa guy...who took us back to Myall Beach for another try at the lookout point...it was so worth it...it was a different to one we originally were gonna go to...this was more reclusive and had breathtaking views...Jon brought his Didgerydoo along too and I had a go, but was rubbish...Tasha was awesome tho...!!! Jon also introduced me to the world of licking ants...it was an experience I tell ya...tasted like a combination of having an electic shock with a shot of lime...we also saw a couple of very exotic looking fish down by the reef...but it was nothing compared to what the guys saw on their diving trip.
