Well it's my last full week and we are down at the American army base in Hoenfels. It was a long drive 5/6 hours and we arrived to the weirdest hotel ever. This area is deep Germany where the ladies wear traditional dress and the men chop wood as that's all they can do I think as it's in a massive forest with nothing else to do, maybe this is why religion is a big thing here, in the village there a loads of crosses and Jesus nailed to a few of them, so if you live in Hoenfels you chop wood, drink beer and pray!!
The hotel lobby is full of stuff from eerie looking dolls to stuffed animals of every kind even a massive cat fish head, there are witches and puppets suspended from the ceiling and pictures of the pope on his visit to the hotel!!! After more looking around and pissing our selves laughing at more bizarre discoveries we went to our room, mine was frozen in time from about 1930, everything brown, crosses on the wall and the spookiest picture of the virgin Mary!!!
The school was again very big and had a stressful few days but we managed it ok. It was all made better when stu and I decided one night to start sampling the local Schnapps varieties. Some were awful but I found one which tasted like Haribo coca cola bottles with one hell of a kick, Stu nicknamed it witches piss!!
We spent three days here then off to Luxembourg!!!
