Got to say the flight wasn't really that bad. Our 4 hour stop over in Dubai was cut to an hour (yay) and after multiple panicked laps of Dubai airport we finally found our gate number and made the final stretch to oz!

We're off the plane and head out when Camilla gets stopped by customs! After meeting again we try and make our way to the city centre. Back pack in toe and about an hour later, we are lost STILL IN THE AIRPORT because we decided that $25 for a 15 min direct train route was far too expensive.

...so three hours, three buses, a train and probably $20 later we have arrived in central and saved a WHOLE $5.

Its time to sort out our pre sorted bank cards, medi care and find our way to coogee for our first few nights stay.

Okay great common wealth banks are the most common banks in oz, okay great... We can't just go to any old one.

Our branch is all the way in china town, 'find the golden tree and your there' okay thanks that's a great help. Feel like I'm in the wizard of oz.
so with Camilla regretting her backpack on wheels cause it keep tipping over all the time, and my back aching we almost walk straight past this gold tree that apparently you 'can't miss' oops.
So we sort out our bank stuff and then decide we can't be arsed to hunt the medi care centre down. So we decide to head to coogee.

Apparently in Australia you pre buy your bus tickets and they are numbered bus 1, 2, 3. What the hell.

We guess a number and head out, only we have no idea when to get off.
The bus driver finally gives us the nod and we find our hotel that happens to be called 'Essex'.

Only after a total travel time of over 40 hours we missed the check in before lunch and have to wait for 2 hrs across on the green for reception to re open.
