The nerves have kicked in good time. I managed a full 4 hrs sleep last night broken up into little sleep segments! My mind is working overtime!
Do I have everything? Did I pack that? Waking up and remembering something and writing it down so I don't forget to do it in the morning! I forgot what this feeling is like. It's been 3 years since I last left the country for a long period of time and now these feeling are all flooding back like it was just yesterday!
Even with the nerves and stress of making sure I have everything the excitement is kicking their butt!
I'm quite an organised person and therefore have made lists for everything! A list of what I've packed ticked off as to whether its in my hold luggage or hand luggage, a list if documents I need to be taking with me in order to get into Canada a list of the lists I have made ... Nah I'm just kidding on that last one I'm not that neurotic (yet).
I mean the packing stage I think was the hardest part. How do you get a years worth of clothes that have to get you through 4 seasons including snowboard gear into a 65L backpack that's weighs less than 23kgs? I shall tell you how ... Call your mum!
She came round in return for her help I took her out for dinner and made her lots of cups of tea! She managed to get everything in my bag and it weighing less than 20kgs! What a woman! I'm in awe! She also managed to fit things in that were on the 'if there's room I might take these' list (I told you I have a lot of lists)!
So now I am sitting here, it's Friday, my last day in the UK, my last day at home, with my dad!
My sister surprised us both with a trip to Liverpool for a behind the scenes your of Anfield! What a memorable last day and some great photos to take with me to Canada to out up on my wall! We got to see the changing rooms the boot rooms, the press room and we got to sit were the team sits on match day alongside the pitch! We got our photo taken with the Champions League trophy! Amazing! And my sister got my dad the new shirt with 'Top Man' printed on the back! I got a teddy monkey which I have aptly names Stevie and a wooly hat from my dad.
Had an incredible last day at home but now I am ready to crack open the champagne and chill with my Dad and best mate Bev before my departure to Canada tomorrow!
