The day has come, it seems like just yesterday that I started the whole process!
I'm up super early to sort out some last little bits and to panic thinking I have forgotten something. Kylie and Paul came round to wave me off, Kylie cried (of course) I managed to hold it together it together and stay strong as I still had the airport goodbye to come!
We left for the airport 4hrs before I was due to fly as I like to make sure I get there on time. Parking rice were a bit of a shock. £10 for over 2 hours, absolutley ridiculous. I felt guilty as we 2 cars. Me, me dad and Bev in one car and Donna, Gordon, Dan, Leah and Charlotte in the other. It was a family day out. Got all checked in (i well could of put more stuff in my snowboard bag) then went for an expensive cup of coffee with everyone so I come spend some time with them before I left. Leah and Charlotte managed to send me off laughing, playing karate with a wooden stirrer, Danielle posted a lovely facebook status and got to have a nice chat with my sister, dad, Gordon and Bev. THen the time came to go through to the other side. It was an emotional goodbye, I tried my best to keep it together but water did appear to be leaking from my eyes! Me dad told me his usual words of wisdom 'Be Careful' & 'Don't trust anyone' and one last hug and off I went! As soon as I got round the corner to security I broke down, I was a blubbering mess. I'm surprised they let me through security.
It was weird to think that I wasn't going to see my family (Bev I include you in this phrase) for a whole year! The people I spend every day with, but I was off to embark on a new adventure
I was off .... To Leave My Mark On The World
