Hey guys long time no speak! Sorry about that been so busy since we reached Mongolia!! It took nearly 7 hours of to the cross the Russia - Mongolia boarder with no pee breaks aloud!! Made a lovely Mongolian friend on the train though. We got to ulaanbaatar 4 days ago, we met out new honcho Anu the first full day we had a very long break after checking in to our hotel as we had a wakeup call at 4.30 and got off the train at 6 in the morning! Got going at noon we went to sukbaattar square, gandangtegchangling monastery and then to a viewpoint to check out through view across the city. On the second day and we went to the Ger camp it was breathtaking!! I was genuinely speechless. So beautiful I cannot explain vast open plains of endless natural beauty!! Plus it's been clear and sunny the whole time. We stayed in a traditional yurts with log burning fires! Over the last two days I have visited turtle rock, done archery, held an eagle, been sledding and climbing, tried on traditional dress, learnt how to play the ankle bone game plus my all time favourite ever we went horse riding!! I've been like a five year old child all the time!! Sadly we had to leave today but on the way back to ulaanbaatar we stopped off of the largest statue on chinngis khan in the world!! Back in the city we have done a lot of shopping at the markets and tonight we have been for a meal of Mongolian BBQ which was awesome. I'm gunna be really sad to see Mongolia go we have all adored our time here but tomorrow we set off for China!! New country new adventure!! xxx

Mum and Dad Wow!! the Ger camp sounds brilliant. So you are taking up riding then, might find a job for you as a jockey!! Hope you got a photo of you in traditional dress! You got to see the statue then, that's good Bet holding the eagle was good too. So glad you are having a fantastic time. China here you come!! xx

Jamie I so wish I'd fitted in ur case lol sounds fantastic :)x
Amy OK I'm starting to feel a tad jealous... as i gaze over the vast open plan-ness of endless shoes and PCs :( No ankle bone games here, just a skull and brickwall ritual! On the other hand: horse riding eh? Well there's something we can do together - without a passport :)
John What did you get at the Mongolian BBQ? Yak chops?
Margaret Caselli How did you manage to fit so much in - marvellous planning? Sounds terrific - wish I was younger!! Take care - love Nan xx
