Pick up at 6:30 (another delay) and then 9 hours of driving to the game park.As we were running so late (about 3 hours) we were taken straight to our safari vehicle for a game drive in a private reserve.It was amazing!!!!!!!!We saw 4 of the "Big 5".The big 5 being lion (the largest land animal), elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard.Didn't see a leopard but we did see a cheetah -the fastest animal on earth.Also, of course, giraffes - the tallest animal, zebra and lots of impala.This drive was in a private reserve so oftentimes the driver went off road to get us closer to the animals.In the national parks you have to stay on the main road.To see the cheetah we were driving over small trees and boulders.It was quite a ride.Off to the lodge for a shower and dinner.Dinner is served family style outside in a circle of tables.Its great cuz you can chat with everyone.There are guests from Switzerland, Nederland, and Columbia.
