Wev'e actually left! can't belive it, my mum and Norm took us to Manchester airport to see us off , had sandwhiches and champagne then said our good-byes.
We started our trip in true back-packer style ,eating only the sandwhiches that jays mum had made us. Not our usual spending habits where Jay has already gave £40 to try and win the car in the air-port and ive spent a fortune on magazines. But start as we mean to go on.
We flew with emirates and had been told they were one of the best! They defianately lived up to the expectation - the entertainment system , staff food and service was all 1st class. They even came round with hot flannels before and at the end of the flight (little things like that) then at night there were lots of tiny little fairy lights that lit up on the cieling like little stars!
As great as it was the flight was long and tiring and niether of us barely slept. From Manchester to Dubahi - Bangkok - Sydney (Wahay) were finally here but absolutely exhausted.
I had the nice surprise of my legs swelling up like ballons and had "BIG FAT CANKLES" - much to Jays amusement. Never seen anything like it in my life, i thought they were actually going to humanly combust! my ankles had literally disappeared! We both kept looking and laughing even got a few pics of the poor b*****s.
Our hostel was in a place called "kings cross", the nearer we got in the taxi the more we realised it was "the Soho" of Sydney. Strip clubs, Brothels, kebab shops and tatoo parlours. Typical, id been the one to book the hostel. "im in charge of booking the next one" Jay said.
We arrived at The De Lux @ 11am and lets just say it was very "Lux". Jays face was hilarious when we opened the room and the curtain was hanging off. I got him to smell the sheets and they were clean, and we were too tired to care so we got a Maccys then passed out for 12 hours straight.
