Hi everyone

i'm in amsterdam at the moment. its such a laid back
city, I really like it. i have only been here one day
and 2 nights so far but i have already been to anne
franks house, van gogh museum, heineken experience
(see photo attached) and to three "coffee shops"
including the one they filmed Ocean's 12 at. Meeting
Rogier today (Dutch friend who lives in Sydney if you
dom't know him) so hopefully he'll give me a local's
tour :)

Before Amsterdam i was in Paris. I hopped off the
plane after a 23 hour flight (with a stopover that
consisted of me running between planes) amd started
exploring Paris straight away on about 5 hours broken
sleep. i managed to walk from my hostel in Montmarte
to the Sacre Couer, Opera House, Palais Royal, Louvre
(it was closed), Jardin de Tuilleries, Place de la
Concorde, Grand Palace, right down the Champs Elysses,
Arc de Triomphe, over the Seine River to the Eiffel
Tower, and back to the hostel via the Avenue Montaigne
(where every designer lable is) and even bought some
Lancome cosmetics at the awesome shopping complex
Galleries LaFayette. It was 6 solid hours of walking
but I loved it! Safe to say I wemt to sleep at 8.30
that night.

The funniest thing is that when i was waiting for the
bus in paris the next morning i spotted amy stephens,
who i went to school with. she is on the bus with me
to Berlin, Prague and vienna which is pretty cool!

the weather has been pretty crap - about 15-20
degrees, overcast and sometimes raining. But other
tham that, I have had an awesome trip, the hardest
thing is missing Jonny so much :(

Anyway, better get going, I have a hankering for some
waffles and chocolate sauce. Sorry I can't attach any
photos from here, but promise I will upload some
during the mext week if I get a chance.
