The first very tiny, small step of my trip is done... And I am not the worse for it. Considering I had to take an extremely nervous cat (poor little Mona) through airport security and on a 5 hour plane ride... It was quite enjoyable.

I know BC is a part of Canada but it has a very different feel to it. Not to mention the awesome mountains that just seem to loom over the city.
Jessica had me walking all over the place yesterday after a lovely breakfast at the Omlettery. We went to Granville island, then walked to English Bay were we enjoyed the best Cupcakes ever! If you have ever seen the Cupcake girls on TV... well I went to their shop! I got a delicious coconut cupcake with creamchessey and coconut icing, and lemon with buttercream (called pink lemonade). Yumm!

While walking in Granville Island i noticed the love of boats here. I find it funny how many boats they have crammed into such a little tiny harbor. How do they even get them out?

If you know me at all you will know that I love the show Mighty Ships on Discovery. It was awesome to see the big container ships sitting just in the harbor with the mountains and sea behind. Not something I see often sitting in Ontario.

All of this followed by a nice dinner in with Jessica and Adam.
