Woke up this morning in time to pack and enjoy my last breakfast in New York City. I then made my way over to Times Square to do some window shopping before relaxing in my favourite place - Bryant park. This is where I met the Swiss girls for a New York lunch and to say our goodbyes. The Swiss have been real fun and I'm sure ill miss them as the trip wouldn't have been quite the same without them.
I made a quick run back to the hostel to pick up my bags and then took the subway back down to Pen Station. The station wasn't too well organised, people were just waiting in huge crowds for there platform to be called minutes before the departure time. Once the rush died down and I was settled in my seat I could relax. Huge chairs, bigger windows and a long journey ahead.
I'm sad to be leaving New York City. It's such an amazing place to be, it's so busy and manic but is also well balanced with friendly people and green parks. I feel there is real pride in being a New Yorker, and to be involved in that feeling was something special.
I'm also sad to be on route to my final city. It's gone so quick and has been so amazing, but equally I can't wait to see family and friends.
