Small trail done, today was time for the bigger trail. I started earlier and walked down to the Scenic Railway, past the little information point there and walked west away from Katoomba. It took me about 2 and a half hours to get to the Ruined Castle. It was a great walk! The weather was much better than yesterday and the wind kept me cool. The path was much more technical than the previous one and therefore much less touristy which meant it was really peaceful....

My day stared off at a nice steady pace this morning. Was in no hurry to get going so just slowly got ready and got out of the hostel full of food around 11 O'clock. Sitting in the beautiful sun by the beach, a coffee in hand and remains of a chocolate muffin around my mouth was simply the perfect way to start the day! It was gorgeous. People eating breakfast in cafes all around me, waves crashing and tourists trying to keep hold of their boards in the sea. Really felt like paradise.
