We woke up just in time to catch up with the group for breakfast! We decided IHOP had the best potential as a hangover cure so dug in to a huge American breakfast. I couldn't eat all mine so ended up taking some back to the hotel.
We then headed out to explore the strip at our own pace. First stop was New York New York. A few of the guys went on the roller coaster around 'New York' but I just chilled out and waited for them to finish. Once they came out we played a four player Pac Man in the arcade which was amazingly entertaining! We then left New York New York and headed out to Excalibur which is shaped like a massive medical castle! This is where I won a teddy playing everyone in an old school horse race game. Nothing impressive but I can now tell people I won something in Vegas!
We then all went to MGM Grand to watch a new TV program and rate it. We thought it was going to be something really cool but it ended up being a crap program and a waste of time. We did get some vouchers though!
Me and Andy then decided to leave the girls too it so we took the monorail to Caesars Palace! Walking in to the lobby was extreme. It Is how Vegas should be. It's so crazy, there is no such thing as too much! Here Andy placed a bet and won at first but lost his tenner. We then got back on the monorail and went back to the hotel to get a shower and quickly change before heading back towards the strip.
We were in a manic rush as we had to meet up with the girls to go see Cirque Du Soleil back in MGM. With a bit of running we made it just in time to order a hot dog and coffee each. We ate the hot dog supper quick and took the coffee in with us!
The show was phenomenal! The stage alone was mind blowing! It rotated in every angle, twisting, turning, rising and falling. The acrobatics were fantastic and just the ideas were crazy and the way scenes were made to look so real, at some points it just didn't look like I was looking at a stage! The music, the cast, the lighting and the huge scale were all brilliant! All in all, it was very impressive! I came out glad we forked out for the more expensive show!
After the show we used our vouchers to get some ice cream and then walked back through MGM where Andy decided to place another bet in his favourite casino. He put in $10 and came out with $101! Someone was happy! He was only at the table for a few minutes!
We then all went to the huge M+M store which was really cool!
The pair of us then left the girls once again and headed to our favourite spot in Vegas - The Bellagio fountains! This is a show in itself, the way the water is in time with the music is so clever, and the size of the fountain is just brilliant! We stayed there for so long, waiting for the next song to come, we watched so many and before we knew it an hour and a half had flown by!
We finally thought it was time to go inside and checked out the Bellagio. This is the really luxury hotel in Vegas. It's really gorgeous inside and as it was the last of the big 3 I persuaded Andy to make one last bet here. He won another $45 in an one bet! We took a look around and went to see the Jeff Mitchum collection there. At 2am we took the monorail back to our hotel and played poker late into the night!
