We loved Koh tao! it was awesome. ko samui was pretty, but these beaches were stunning. our accomodation was again little huts ofr pairs, very romantic! on the first day us and katie and mel went downt to the beach to chillax and we ran into Eddie from our first tour which was cool and a really big coinsidence! we stayed there most the day then later charly played a competitive game of cards with Pregnant whilst Gem went for a stroll on the beach and found a really pretty thinking place at the end! for our meal that night we had and awesome beach bbq at our hotel with the massive kebabs! yum! then we moved downt the beach a little to lotus bar. we sat there with some cocktails and there was another fire thowing man person! there was a pretty creepy irish man who tried it on with charly before she ran away (to the bar!) and then he moved onto Gem but Katie swooped in and gathered her up in her giant breasts until he went away!! we then met a guy called Ben and his friend Hutchy-guy with the stongest australian accent EVER! we had good chat with them.
the next day was Alison's 30th birthday (and valentines day) we were all booked onto a group tour to go snorkling at 7 different spots around Koh Tao. this as a really good day, we saw loads of fish and it was boiling hot! apparently we could have seen sharks (reef sharks) but we didnt. there were sea mites that bit you though! bad times. the last stop we got of at this tiny little beach island which was gorgeous and SO hot. in the sea here there were LOADS of see cucumbers on the floor which inspired Mel to pick one up... Gema nd Mel were playing with it and katie siad it may die out of water. we ignored her, then Mel passed it to Gem just as it went all limp!! i now have sea cucumber blood on my hands and am eternally sorry. katie said we were destroying ecosystems! but were pretty sure it came back to life as we put it back in and it got really long! then were still laughing about that and MEl picked one up that peed so we laughed at that and then katie got on Gems back coz she kept standing on them just as this crazy fat angray austrian woman walked into the sea to yell at us infront of everyone saying we were waking up the beach! she was crazy! no one was asleep and she was being really loud! but she was scary so seeing as we couldnt stop laughing, gem ran away with katie on her back. charly had been underwater and some how missed all of this!? Mel wasnt happy at being yelled and had the classic line when the lady left ''clearly she hasnt seen a sea cucumber in a while!!'' ha.
next it was proven how bad of an influence katie is when she convinced gem to cover Mai Thai's air hole on her snorkel as sh went by! ha that was pretty funny.
back home we had time for a little chill before going out. gem spoke to joe, however briefly, on the phone and charly went shopping for clothes to avoid doing washing!
we went out for a nice meal for Al's birthday. charly and mel ordered rum by the bucket...literally. needless to say they were hammered after about 20minutes and showed it when they got so outraged by charlys lack of egg on her dinner! ''wheres my f***ing egg!?'' they also stared at a fish...for some time! we then moved onto a club called the Castle where there was a vals day party. charly and mel were having a whale of a time with even more bucklets! and danced the night away! gem, katie and henry opted instead to leave a little earlier and have some drinks and a chat on the beach instead.
next day charl felt a little worse for wear, ok A LOT worse for wear. as did Mel. and required a gentle day of rest. so the day was full of napping/sunbathing/reading.
for our last night MaiThai organised a sunset meal at koh tao peak which was really nice and really pretty. mel and charly vowed not to drink as they were still recovering but everyone else started. we then went to a massive beach party. it was rammed and there was a massive bonfire and live music. charlys vow of not drinking was immediately broken when one of the other thai leaders started buying us vodka lemonade by the bucket! we didnt have to buy any drinks all night as he bought us loads and matt got hammered and bought loads too- ''katie, i need 1000baht!!!'' haha. it was such a funny night, we couldnt stop laughing. we founmd those guys Ben and Hutchy again and Hutchy has said we can stay with him in oz and he can help us out with lots of other places to stay which is cool. gem managed to kick a brick in the dark which didnt not feel good! and someone stole her flip flops! although she thought she had found them so wore some home but then realised in the morning that they were not hers, not even close! so she ahd just stolen someone elses too!
next moning we all felt suprisingly fine! we took it easy on the beach though (charly took it very easy and slept most the day!) whilst gem and katie chatted in the sea for 2whole hours! MaiThai found us and told us we were leaving 2hours later due to a ferry delay but when charly came in the sea we decided to tell her that we were delayed by a day which lead to her immediately panicking about us missing our flights! we kept it up for ages but felt we had to tell her the truth when she started rubbing her temples and pulling her hair!! she wasnt impressed. gemma nearly died she laughed so hard! then this WASTED irish man army crawled to us in the sea (''im a baracuda!'') and called every single wave a mini tsunami and got mad at the sea and hit it for him rolling over?! he then made an offer we sadly had to decline- ''give me 80baht and il puke all over u!'' lovely! then he sang us a boyzone song...voice of an angel!
we then said goodbye to Koh Tao and headed back to bangkok on the worse night train ever! there were no lights so w sat in darkness whilst charly was eaten alive by bugs!!
that was the end of our thailand trip and we absolutely loved it and all the people we were with! xx
