so we left Bangkok on the night train up to Chiang Mai which was an experience! it looked like a normal train but then beds came out the ceiling and out the floor! we've never seen such a multi-functional train, EVER! we were on that for like 10 hours but Charly slept great! then we dropped our stuff off at the hotel and went on a bike tour of Chiang Mai.

it was quite good but our tour leader didnt half like to talk about temples! we stopped for lunch and gemma was informed that she looked like a thai model.. which had now confirmed our suspicions that she is in fact foreign. then in the evening we went with the group to the night bazzar and had dinner and charly had real shopping issues. bought qutie a few braclets and a top. and then we went home to get a good nights sleep ready for our trek!
