Back in Delhi I found somewhere to stay-good ac and a tv!! Very posh! :D I only had a short amount of time here so another trip is required to see all that Delhi has to offer! I walked the streets enjoying all the people and the sights. It has to be said Delhi has a traffic problem despite the fact that they have and awesome metro system-clean, cheap, and with women only cars it almost felt like I wasn't in India. As I walked to my hotel for the first time a girl infront of me got squished between a car and a motor bike. Luckily as there was a huge traffic jam the car wasn't moving and the bike was parked so she was ok but it reminded me that I needed to be careful on the roads!!!
Anyhoo, the food was great, I did a little shopping and made full use of the TV. It was the first time in months that I had a room to myself and wasn't travelling or living with others. It was nice in a way but I also missed my Sangam friends!
I visited the Lotus temple which was really cool. It's a temple in which people from any religon can worship in together which was pretty cool. It also meant that at all times you had to be completly silent-fair enough but this meant that they had people deadicated to watching out for people talking, it was like being in a school assembly or something! Two families got kicked out because their babies were crying or making some kind of noise-it was very funny!
Next stop was the Gandi museum. It was so interesting and it was good to learn about someone who means so much to India. It was also here that I realised every country I have/am planning to visit on this trip used to be ruled by the British. Interesting. And also it turns out the British were pretty mean taking over all those countries!!! So many people died and stuff!! Shocked I was! So there you go I am finally broadening my general knowledge, hopefully I'll be more help in pub quizzes now! :D
I found a great little cafe that sat above all the buildings and streets so I had a great view over the streets whilst I ate my dinner on my final night. Off to Mumbai tomorrow! :D
