Charliee Well yes grandad, it's to be expected?! We have actaully been very good with our "liquid consumption" ..most backpackers are out literally EVERY night. Me and ollie have gone halves on a laptop which has got skype and a built in webcam and microphone! bob charmbury by gum Charlie you seem to be having a lquid holiday in more than one sense. Sorry that I have not followed your travels on facebook but what you have written keeps me upto speed. Not sure I will make 'down under' and am hoping to return to UK in May. Annie is now on Dof E gold expedition trial..the real event is on June when the weather should be better for her. We had a good time and a couple of trips to the Rugova hills. I was hoping that Spring would soon arrive...it dod for a week or so but now back to drear/damp and cold. I keep forgetting that your seasons are also on the move to Autumn. 3 months has whizzed by but clear you have stacked up a heap of memories to keep you warm. Take care Love GDB

Luckily we had stinger suits!Well we've done the whitsundays bat trip and fraser island 4x4 self drive which was AWESOME! zoe :) hey charliee :D eurghh 8 hours i think i would have died! We don't have a religious studies choice thing :S the GCSE's i have chosen are: the compulsory subjects- Maths, English Lang, English Lit, Two Science's. the ones i chose- Accelerated Philosophy and Ethics + ICT (accelerated means we have to do the same work people do in 4 lessons in 2!) Geography, History and Art and Design :) Thank you for your card, you really have been up to so much! lucky you eh? you looked lovely in your picture by the way, thats the first thing my friend said 'oh, she pretty' ;O :L Andy is at his new school at the moment and he doesn't have in ternet access i don't think so thats why you have had no messages with him. Things are going ok for him but he not used to being in school and being told what to do, where to go etc. so is finding it quite hard to adjust. Well that is the end of my very long message because my tea is ready :) i love you lots hopefully i can see you soon and lovely and tanned xx

bob charmbury intrepid non-moaner of course we all believe you when you say that you adopted a true stoic approach to getting wet and being cold on a glacier...I think not. But as I am no 'facebook' fan it is a pleasure to know that you are maintaining a high interest/ experience/ fun factor with your and Ruth's wanderings.For sure you have already covered a lot of territory. Pleased as well that you are covering some of the basic costs with a little part time work. I am told however that wage rates in Oz are a lot more attractive than NZ ..though maybe costs are also that much higher? Anyway many thanks for keeping us upto speed. bob charmbury dear adrenilin junkie...careful you do not overdose...according to the blog you have been living on the edge so a bit of time in the sun will do you no harm. I guess it will be crocodile wrestling and underwater rugby when you get to Oz? And where is the stiff upper lip in ll of this. Very poor show with all this girlie screaming...these are not times to think you are watching 'Take that' or some other boy band. bob charmbury Charlie ,life seems to be affording a lot of new and quite challenging ( if not foolhardy or dare devil) experiences. Perhaps one of your next exploits will be tin tray sliding down a volcano?I suggest an all in one swimsuit to avoid future embarrassement though would not b much use in a volcano. Pleased you are taking photos but I guess the experiences will be ingrained in your memory for a very long time. So something to look at in later years. Thanks for taking time out to give a comprehensive update. It is much appreciated and very reassuring. But take it easy with the kamikazi stuff. Love GDB

Mum Hi just read all your news and seen the pictures. What excitement!! Can't wait for the next installment. Not much here to report, just busy as usual. The weather is pants and if the forecast is true we may get some more snow but who knows. Lizzie rode your bike to her Dance East class this morning. It was still propped up by the fence where you last left it! Your bedroom is so tidy! Yes I even dared to clear under the bed too!! Just as well you couldn't take much in your ruck sack or the hostels you stay in would look like a bomb site. Love you lots, saving my pennies so that I can come out and see you!!
