After the last two days of not much sleep and lots of tourism, we had the day off and went to the beach! There was a man made pool from ocean water between some rocks that we went to and spent the day there.
Later in the evening we had dinner and went to see a traditional rapanui show. Strangely we were the only people who volunteered to get their faces painted with traditional tribal mud paint!
The show was very random, it had lots of dancing with scantily clad people in grass skirts, leather covers and feather headdresses, it was very funny. They were singing rapanui songs and doing tribal dancing, so it was enjoyable, although because so much rapanui culture has been lost I'm not sure how authentic it was! It was fun though, have a look at the pictures and videos...
