Today we went over to the Argentinian side of Iguassú falls. It was much bigger up close and there were various walks in between, although we couldn't do them all as there was apparently a puma loose in the grounds. It had been closed for the previous few days but they'd just decided that as they couldn't catch it it must be safe. Hmm...
Anyway, after making sure there were some people that looked like they'd run slower than us we went on the boat ride first. I don't think we realised quite how soaked we were going to get and had initially laughed at people getting on in their underwear/bikinis. After we saw the next boat get back however we thought better of it and stripped down to bikini and swim shorts. The captain was like a man possessed and drove right through two of the main falls. I have no idea how we could even see well as I had to shut my eyes from the water crashing down on us, but we survived! It was great fun, although naturally not the best for pictures.
We then went on all the walks that weren't shut for the puma. It was raining in true tropical style and we got absolutely soaked, AGAIN. Because of the miserable weather the photos therefore aren't as good as on the Brazilian side, so just take my word for it that it was incredible.
We resisted the temptation when we got back for another all you can eat dinner, and instead went to the shopping centre to stock up (unsuccessfully) on a waterproof cover for each of our bags and a poncho each!
